	Speedwing and Zetron join together to provide DeskNet – An Integrated Control Desk Solution for Airlines

	October 9th 2001, Inter-Airport Exhibition, Munich: Speedwing Mobile Communications, and Zetron announced today that they have joined together to offer the airline industry, a tool that will make the operations and planning of control rooms more efficient and effective in both normal mode or in a crisis - DeskNet.

	A centralised communications management console, Desk Net is capable of integrating the private communications systems of an airline, be it telephony or radio, ensuring that operations are managed efficiently and effectively in their mission critical environment. By bringing together and rationalising the number of communications systems an operator has to manage or react to in each area of airport operations, the continuity of operations in times of crisis and the resumption to normal service is made easier and faster. By employing DeskNet, airlines can positively impact business continuity, service recovery and punctuality targets as well as enhancing operational efficiency.

	DeskNet features a PC based console that provides a configurable graphical user interface that allows the display to be tailored to the operation, creating a more intuitive feel for the operator and over time reduces the training requirements for the airline.
