Speedwing Mobile Communications New Trunked
Radio Network goes live at Stansted Airport
Speedwing Mobile Communications has seen its latest Trunked Radio Network go live
at Stansted Airport. The new system will provide access to a common user platform
for mission critical radio communications for the airport community in and around
the airport, which is located in the South East of England. The
Network provides full coverage of the site for airlines and their service partners
to communicate effectively and efficiently in their operations. It further offers
the capability for the future exploitation of advanced functionality, using inherent
data facilities, for a wide range of non-voice applications. The system creates
the capacity and integrity for the airport community to benefit from cross communication
throughout the supply chain and guarantees system access to support their demands,
especially in times of crisis. The Stansted site is the latest
edition to Speedwing Mobile Communications growing family of UK Airport Trunked
systems that are already in operation at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham,
Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Jersey. For further
