Jacobs Consultancy UK Ltd acquires Speedwing Consulting London,
13 May 2002 – Jacobs Consultancy UK Ltd (Jacobs Consultancy), a subsidiary of
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., one of the world's largest professional technical
services companies, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Speedwing
Consulting, the specialist aviation consulting business unit of the British Airways
subsidiary, Speedwing International Limited. The acquisition by Jacobs
Consultancy will enable the Speedwing Consulting team to enhance its operations
by extending both the range of its present consulting services, and its client
base and take advantage of Jacobs Consultancy's transport consultancy capability.
Following a short transition phase the enlarged group will be branded as Jacobs
Consultancy. Speedwing Consulting, established in 1990, provides practical
solutions to airlines and airport operators around the world, using senior professionals
who have gained their experience in frontline managerial and operational positions
in the aviation industry. "We already provide a range of services to
the aviation industry and Speedwing Consulting's capabilities will enhance and
broaden that range. I am delighted to have such a well-respected team join us
at Jacobs Consultancy. Together we provide the highest level of consulting services
to existing and future clients as the first choice in value-added transportation
